The purpose of Communities For Christ is to unify Christians in the Antelope Valley. Together we will serve, bless and pray for our communities, so that Christ may be visible in our works through love and kindness. As carriers of the Light, our responsibility to Christ is to lay ourselves down for His cause. To have this one goal in mind is to love people through His many ways, so that they may see the Hope of the world. This Hope is the love of God, that heals all mankind from the burdens of this life. And by giving up all to Christ, they too can have peace and eternal salvation through repentance, while recognizing once and for all, their need for the Savior.
Community Action
CFC was born out of a pre-existing nonprofit organization called Kid’s Charities. Kid’s Charities was in operations for 17 years and operated as an umbrella organization that funded and supported over 30 local children’s charities. Relationships, partnerships and community involvement has been well established through signature events like Thunder on the Lot, GraceFest W.O.W. and more. From this charitable organization came the start of the faith-based non-profit called Communities for Christ.
Community Prayer
The foundation of everything we do at Communities for Christ comes from prayer. It is our starting place and we rely solely on our trust in God to lead and guide us for the ministry through prayer. CFC has conducted weekly prayer meetings that disperse teams out into the community to pray over businesses, charities, ministries, schools and many other civic locations. We also have a faithful team of intercessors that meet on a regular basis to lift up local, state and national issues we are facing in this era. This is a serious team of prayer team members comprising of many pastors, Christian leaders and prayer warriors for Christ. We encourage you to consider joining this force for righteousness and revival. There are three ways to get more information; email us at info@communities-for-christ.org , click her to complete a volunteer registration form or text “CFC Info” to 661-270-6812.
Community Events
Community events have been a signature method of engaging with the community for many years by the founders, Ron and Yvette Emard. New events are in the works and will be announced in the future but it’s their signature event, GraceFest, that will continue on through this ministry that many in the community have been a part of for the last 10 years. GraceFest is an annual Christian music and message festival that takes place in September of every year at the Palmdale amphitheater. To stay tuned visit www.gracefestav.com.
Community Serving
Serving our community is a privilege and never without need and purpose. There are many ways and opportunities to serve in the Antelope Valley. CFC has been and will continue to be actively involved with many ministries and service organizations like; Cherished High Desert, Grace Resources, Care Net, Royal Family Kid’s Camp, local Christian schools and more. There are many important ways to serve and we vow to continue serving and meeting the needs that God has equipped us to do.
Community Giving
In this world it is not what we take up, but what we give up, that makes us rich. There are many ways to give from the heart, from the hands and with the feet, and at CFC we plan and structure ways to be cheerful givers. Charity, food, toy and clothing drives, pay it forward opportunities, fund raising for ministries and charitable organizations is what we are led to do. There are an abundant amount of ways to give from the deepest places of our hearts. Whether it be through charity, time, prayer or ministry, search for it, and our heart places us where we want and need to be. God doubles your return beyond whatever you can hope for or imagine.
